Knights Snatch 1st Win!

Sep 17, 2010

The efforts and tenacity of the MRA Upper School soccer team have finally paid off in the win column, after defeating RSEC Academy in Merrimack yesterday by a score of 4-1. A balanced attack, improved positioning, and some superb passing displays led to a solid victory. Three different forwards scored, our defense rose to the occasion when tested, and our goalie made some very timely saves.

With such a young team, the inexperience certainly hindered our play over the first 2 games. But now, we can sense that the younger players are gaining some much needed confidence. The elders are persistently encouraging the newbies, which is always a beautiful sight to see. As we strive to glorify God through athletics, we ask for your prayers in developing a strong moral character, and a steadfast will.

We travel to Parker Academy in Concord to round out our early 3-game road trip on next Tuesday, and will have another shot at Tri-City when we host them next Thursday.
