Campus Expansion Nearing Completion

Jul 19, 2012 | General News

These are exciting times at Mount Royal. Not only has God graced us with more students and families than ever before (we are about to eclipse a total enrollment of 130 students!!!), He has also continually provided the infrastructure and resources needed in order to adequately educate and form the students.

It appears as if the new classroom building for the Garden and elementary grade levels will be completed by August 1st. The building will feature eight classrooms, two offices, and a new adoration chapel that can sit thirty-five comfortably. Two of the eight classrooms have been especially designed for the Garden program (Pre-K & K), each equipped with their own bathrooms and more space for classroom activities. The maintenance gentleman has been diligently working all summer to restore the other two buildings in time to move into the new classroom building.

By the beginning of the 2012-2013 school year, the entire campus will be less than six years old. As we inch closer towards our twentieth anniversary, we are mindful of all that God has given us. MRA started in the wing of a no longer operational hospital, and now we have three modern, efficient, and beautiful buildings that will sustain us for years to come. Unless of course God has bigger plans! At this pace, who knows where we could be in the next few years?

The one constant amidst whirlwind of recent campus changes has been the enduring presence of Jesus Christ. Throughout the campus renovations, our Lord’s presence has remained on campus. Although the grounds vibrate from moving extractors and the sounds of construction echo around campus, the stillness and silence of Jesus’ watchful gaze continually blesses the campus in preparation for the upcoming school year.

Stay tuned for photos of the campus!

St. Joseph, patron of Mount Royal, pray for us!
