The junior lady knights earned their second championship in 3 years back on February 21st, defeating ICB2 by a score of 28-18 in the championship game. MRA overcame the height of Mont Vernon in the semifinal on February 18th – a very familiar foe – after receiving a first round bye.

MRA finished the season as the #1 overall seed in D2 of the Merrimack Basketball League (7/8 girls division).

The team was comprised of girls in grades 6-8. Their best strength throughout the season was team defense, allowing the fewest points in their division. A healthy complement of experienced and novice players allowed for team growth and achievement. The experienced ladies helped others grow in their knowledge of basketball, and as the season progressed, the team performed well together.

The girls finished 11-3 overall, and 6-1 in the league.
