Catholic Schools Week Featured Events

Jan 29, 2013

From January 28 – February 2 we are celebrating our Catholic identity. Below is a list of activities and events taking place during the school week:

Monday – Celebration of the Holy Mass in honor of Saint Thomas Aquinas, patron of Catholic education

Tuesday – Kickoff of Food Drive

  • We are organizing a food drive for the Newport Food Pantry. Students are invited to bring 2 dry goods on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. As a reward, students will be allowed to have a Tag Day (wear appropriate casual clothes instead of uniforms). This is a great way to concretely instill the value of service! We anticipate a great turnout.
  • School-wide seminarian letter writing event! Students will create original cards to be sent to the seminarians of our diocese.

Wednesday – Ski Program at Mount Sunapee

Thursday – Spelling Bee at 1:00pm in St. Joseph’s center

Friday – School-wide party after lunch featuring fun and competitive games, hot cocoa, cookies
